Agion Names Cyndy Hunter as Vice President Marketing

WAKEFIELD, Mass., July 20, 2010Agion Technologies, a leader in antimicrobial solutions for the consumer, industrial and healthcare industries, as well as the company behind the interactive website, is pleased to announce the promotion of Cyndy Hunter, formerly a marketing director, to vice president, marketing. In this role, Ms. Hunter will expand her role in strategic direction for branding, segmentation, and penetration into new market segments, and advance knowledge and analysis of sales penetration for key targets.

“Since 2007, Cyndy has been a driving force in crafting our brand identity, leading the branding effort for all sub-branded products including Agion Active,” said Paul Ford, P.E., CEO, Agion.  “Her work has continually been top-notch, as demonstrated by her key role in Agion’s receipt of Frost & Sullivan’s 2009 Customer Value Leadership Award for creating a partnership model for the company that extends from R&D to marketing, as well as a 2009 Summit International Award for our "Bug Free" B2B Direct Marketing Campaign.”

During her tenure at Agion, Ms. Hunter has launched both technical and new service offerings, accelerated penetration into new market segments, and led a successful public relations strategy.  She has ably leveraged social networking and led fruitful ad and direct mail campaigns, while doubling corporate web traffic.  A highlight of the past year for Agion marketing has been the launch of the consumer-facing “Stink at Nothing” website, which has attracted more than 276,000 visitors in its first six months.

Prior to her work at Agion, Ms. Hunter owned and operated Hunter Marketing, a consulting practice. From 2000-2007, she built a repeat client base of over 10 companies in diverse industries. Ms. Hunter launched Hunter Marketing following her tenure at Polaroid, where she was the director of marketing for the graphics industry division. She came to Polaroid from Iris Graphics, a Scitex company, and NEC, a $200M subsidiary of NEC Corp., Japan, where she held business line management and market research roles, respectively.
